Cigars online

I have quite a few friends who are smokers, and once they even told me that nicotine prevents people from having swine flu during the scare! They all told me that they buy cigars online and have more than once invited me to join them haha. At first, I thought that cigars were more or less the same, but according to them there is an absolute difference in the flavor and strength in the tobacco and clove mix according to different brands. There are also discounts when you buy cigars online, as opposed to buying them in retail outlets, so it’s really worth it.

Mix and match the tiles

OMG there is a big discount on tile floorings and free shipping too! The last storm totally ruined my friend’s tiles in the Philippines, so I was really glad to show this offer to her. Maybe that rain was a sign for a change! Also, it’s the first time I saw their program where you can design your room in 3d with their tiles; that would totally help her mix and match the tiles to my preference without having to spend a fortune just to see which one would look good. It’s like having your own restaurant city haha!

Interesting stuff…

One of the interesting things you can find in a store is a barcode scanner. Have you ever experienced being a kid and just wonder at what this strange looking toy the sales guy is using? It looks like a laser at some points and it would just be tempting to use it and try. I bet even an adult would be more excited to play with it than his or her child.

Video and audio messaging

Am pretty sure all of us know what picture messaging is? But have you heard about video and audio messaging? I didn’t know this stuff until my hubby got a new phone a month ago. I’m supposed to blog about this the day he got his new phone but as usual, I lacked the time to update this blog and talk about it. As what I’m saying, my hubby got his new Nokia 5310 Xpress Music last month. He decided to renew his contract at T-mobile and I forced him to get a new phone. He doesn’t usually like T-mobile’s phone because according to him carriers usually change the feature of the original phone. He doesn’t like the t-zone at all or any propaganda of the carrier. As long as there’s a WI-FI feature included on the mobile, he’s fine with it.

The Nokia 5310 Xpress Music has the ability to send video messaging. This is some how a new feature in today’s mobile phone. I’ve never seen any phone before that uses this kind of feature. Yes, you can send your video or audio using any smartphone but you must have INTERNET DATA PLAN  or EMAIL to do so. MMS is way too different from EMAIL.

Multimedia Messaging Service or MMS, is a telecommunications standard for sending messages that include multimedia objects (images, audio, video, rich text). MMS is an extension of the SMS standard, allowing longer message lengths and using WAP to display the content. Its most popular use is sending photographs from camera-equipped handsets, although it is also popular as a method of delivering ringtones as well. The standard is developed by the Open Mobile Alliance (OMA), although during development it was part of the 3GPP and WAP groups. – WIKIpedia.

As for myself, I find MMS cheaper. Imagine this you can send pictures, video, audio or any multimedia objects in the same rate as text message or SMS. That means if your mobile phone has a MMS feature you don’t necessarily need to have an internet data plan or EMAIL plan in your phone. Like our own line, we have unlimited text plan and I have no internet data plan but I can still send photos, videos and emails to any online social networking websites like Facebook, Flickr, Multiply and even in a blog platform like Blogger. Although, some other countries offer different price rates for MMS like in my home country, Philipines. All cellular companies in the Philippines offer MMS in a bit higher rate than SMS. MMS cost Php5.00 per send while regular text is Php1.00. Oh, by the way, I’ve heard that SMS rates in the Philippine will drop the rate of inter-network SMS down by half. Is that true?

I wonder why there are still a lot of people who do not know what MMS really is especially people here in the US. By the way, for complete review of Nokie 5310 click here.

Double check first…

I sure hate getting scammed and the feeling that my friends were tricked when they were buying weight loss pills which I recommended. Thankfully, there are ways of checking which weight loss pills really work. Of course, we all have to look after our body and taking unreliable medications might make us suffer, so it pays to be safe and check whether you might be getting scammed or not.

Cleanser that cleans colon…

I read a very funny article in Reader’s Digest about colon cleanse reviews. Actually it was just one review and it was about the dread of this grown up man about getting one. Everytime he was given an opportunity to get one, he would usually make excuses and just keep on delaying the appointment until 10 years after, his brother had one and found out that he had cancer. Fear finally made him do it. And guess what?

The procedure, as gross as it may sound didn’t hurt a bit! One moment he was asleep and the next thing he knew, it was all over. So he recommeneds that everyone above 40 get one for good measure since it wasn’t all that bad after all.

ZUNE HD coming in Sept 15 of this year!

Well, I know some of you already heard about the new Zune HD. It totally amazed me how the Zune evolved. This entry will only share the excerpt of Zune HD information that I had gathered from other websites. Well, right now, I’m not a fan of a certain brand. Honestly, I want to try new things for a change but I will still remain as a Microsoft user even if given the chance to have a Macbook. The same story applies when it comes to their respective mp3 players. Both mp3 players work the same and almost have the same features even though Ipod Touch doesn’t have a built-in FM Radio. Eventhough I really like the new Zune, I’m not going to get it until next year. My classic Zune 30Gb still works perfectly fine. For Zune users out there, this portable perfection might interest your inner being… check this out!
